A focused working session on the Italian repertoire you bring.
We begin with your score, text, questions, and current stage of preparation. Depending on what you need, the session may concentrate closely on one aria or recitative, examine selected passages from a role, or address a larger interpretive question across several excerpts.
The work is specific to your repertoire. There is no generic curriculum and no requirement to begin with material you have already mastered.
$195 per session
Full payment is collected at booking. Additional sessions may be reserved individually when your repertoire or preparation calls for continued work.

Your session can include:
Italian pronunciation, stress, and phonetic detail
A working translation grounded in the grammar of the original
Syntax and word order as guides to emphasis and intention

Diction is addressed wherever it needs attention, but the work does not stop at producing the correct sounds. Each linguistic insight is connected to what changes in the performance when you notice it.

You do not need to be preparing for an audition. The session can support repertoire study at any point, from an initial reading to detailed preparation for rehearsal or performance.
One session at a time
A single session can provide concentrated preparation for a particular aria, passage, or textual question.
A full role or substantial repertoire set will naturally require more than one meeting. Rather than purchasing a package in advance, you may reserve additional sessions individually. Each appointment can build on the previous work while remaining responsive to your rehearsal schedule, deadlines, and changing priorities.

Choose an available time and submit payment securely when you book. No preliminary discovery call or application is required.
2. Tell me what you are preparing
Your intake form will ask about your repertoire, voice type or professional role, goals, and any relevant deadlines.
3. Share your materials
Upload your score, text, translation, or another relevant resource in advance. You may also provide a link when that is more convenient.
4. Meet privately on Zoom
We will work directly with the materials and questions you bring, beginning with the areas most important to your preparation.
Italian for performance or modern language study?
Italian Opera Text Coaching is designed for historical, poetic, and performance-related Italian, including arias, art songs, recitatives, roles, and libretti.
If your goals involve contemporary conversation, grammar, reading, travel, academic work, or general language development, Modern Italian Language Coaching is the more appropriate service.
